We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and the ability to handle materials efficiently within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Pack products securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring that all items meet quality standards.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all packed items are free from defects.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as required, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
- Handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety guidelines.
- Utilise forklift equipment when necessary for moving large items or pallets within the warehouse.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing role is preferred, with a solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience with warehouse management systems will be beneficial for tracking inventory accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure efficient packing operations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Hours 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
