Quality Controller Day Shift - Fresh Produce

Location of the Job:
Harlow, Essex (Own transport required due to location).
Salary & Benefits Package:
- 24,336pa (12/hr) Payable weekly
- Free parking on-site.
- Free fresh produce (when available).
- 28 days holiday (including public holidays).
- Sick pay.
Schedule:
- 39 Hours per week
- Day shift: 07.30 to 16.30 OR00 to 17.00
- Monday to Sunday 5 days out of 7, including 1 flexible weekend day.

Quality Controller - The Job Role Details:
We are looking for a motivated Quality Control Professional to join a dynamic team in the fresh produce industry, specifically salad items.
The role is based in a modern facility and the successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Control Supervisor, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality.
Quality Controller - Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with audits in all production and packhouse areas.
- Perform final product checks before dispatch to customers.
- Collect samples for shelf-life testing and ensure compliance with hygiene standards, including pest management.
- Monitor and ensure production clean-downs meet allergen and hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate records and complete compliance paperwork.
Quality Controller - The Ideal Candidate:
You will have:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in food manufacturing (fresh produce preferred).
- Knowledge: HACCP and internal auditing processes.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong attention to detail.
- Attributes: Respectful, approachable, and a team player with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Essential Requirements:
- A valid UK driver's license (essential due to location).
- Right to work in the UK (18 months minimum visa if applicable).
