Production Process Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 PA, depending on experienceLocation: Harlow, Essex (office-based)Position Type: PermanentHours: 40 hours per week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Company Overview: Join an established and traditional electrical engineering manufacturing company as a Production Process Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to take full responsibility for production, drive continuous improvements, and manage machinery and processes across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assess floor layout and plant requirements to align with business strategy.
- Project manage the implementation of new methods, processes, and equipment.
- Report directly to the Production Director.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to manage high-stress situations.
- Proven experience in a production engineering role within a small to medium-sized manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in production information systems, including MRP and CAD/CAM manufacturing tools.
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, commercially oriented, results-driven, and good negotiation abilities.
- Commitment to customer service and quality.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods within an electrical assembly/panel building and sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Formal qualification in a manufacturing engineering discipline (preferably HNC).
