- Days: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 6pm
OR - Nights: Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and chosen shift
We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician/Setter for a permanent, fixed shift position with our well-established client in Harlow, Essex. You can choose between either a fixed day or night shift from Monday to Thursday, providing a stable schedule.
As a Mould Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of moulding operations and the production of high-quality products tailored to bespoke customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precise and efficient mould tool and insert changes
- Conduct tool trials to assess and optimise moulding processes
- Continuously optimise processes to improve productivity and quality
- Maintain cycle times to hit production targets
- Monitor product quality, ensuring high standards are met
- Conduct daily safety checks on moulding machines and ancillary equipment
- Complete setting sheets and required paperwork accurately and on time
- Train and guide operators as necessary to ensure smooth operations
- Set up ancillary equipment such as dryers, water heaters, and robots for efficient production
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong technical skills in injection moulding processes, including tool changes and equipment setup
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimise processes to enhance efficiency and quality
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards
