We are seeking a Stock Controller to oversee and manage all inventory and stock levels across multiple sites, ensuring that the right amount of stock is available to meet business needs. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage various tasks effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct month-end stock takes for all sites, ensuring that warehouse staff have properly prepped stock locations before stock take.
- Monitor and ensure all areas are counted before stock period ends.
- Investigate and report any picking errors and perform regular stock spot checks.
- Regularly review out-of-date stock and follow up on stock amendments, producing reports summarising differences.
- Liaise with auditors at year-end to ensure that stock records match physical stock.
- Keep stock records up to date and accurate, monitor pallet stocks, and ensure customer details are correct.
- Conduct regular weighbridge checks and monitor stock levels of merchanted goods, ensuring timely reordering.
- Ensure accurate stock entry on Unity to facilitate smooth order processing.
- Manage packing and ingredients purchasing for Harlow and Ponders End sites.
- Work on stock control projects as required.
- Promote organisation values and behaviours.
- Participate in relevant training and development as required by the Warehouse Manager and Directors.
- Undertake any other tasks as allocated by the Warehouse Manager or Directors, commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
