Warehouse Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader who will play a crucial role in driving the department forwards. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to quality control.

Key Tasks:

  • Drive the department towards absolute customer service by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Deputise for the Transport and Warehouse Manager in their absence, overseeing all warehouse operations.
  • Share responsibility for chairing the daily team meeting.
  • Ensure all customer orders are quality checked prior to dispatch to maintain high standards.
  • Manage a team of full-time warehouse staff, providing coaching, guidance, and handling any disciplinary/HR issues.
  • Share responsibility for chairing the daily team meeting.
  • Chair daily team meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Redeploy resources as needed to support various areas of the business.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal customers at both the South East London and Harlow locations.
  • Promote and implement high standards of hygiene and housekeeping practices in the warehouse.
  • Ensure that forklift daily checks are completed and any defects are reported promptly for repairs.

Daily Tasks:

  • Manage a team of six direct reports, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Oversee daily customer orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment.
  • Support and oversee Goods In processes to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Manage the supply of production kits to support manufacturing processes.
  • Support periodic inventory (PI) counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Assist in route planning to optimise delivery schedules.
  • Obtain transportation quotations as needed for efficient logistics operations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and organised warehouse environment.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by line management.

  • Develop knowledge of transport compliance regulations.
  • Gain expertise in Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) compliance.
