This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic HR Business Partner who is seeking a challenging new opportunity within a friendly and supportive team.  The successful candidate will be an excellent negotiator who can build relationships and is confident providing expert advice and support to a diverse group of Managers and Employees.   • Support the implementation of the HR Strategy
  • Provide a comprehensive, proactive and expert HR advisory service.
  • Provide comprehensive and expert HR advice to managers and employees on a wide range of specialist activities that enable continuous improvement within the organisation
  • Manage conflicting priorities and respond to requests from managers, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and co-ordinate special projects which will contribute to strategic and operational business plans.

  • Deputise for the Head of HR in their absence
  • Contribute to the development of HR services, promoting equality, diversity inclusion, and best practice.
  • Work with the Head of HR to develop and implement the HR Strategy.
  • Ensure projects are managed and delivered.
  • Work with management teams to identifying workforce issues, developing appropriate focussed HR interventions.
  • Support and advise on staffing issues, including complex and sensitive; issues not exclusive to but including performance management, absence management, conduct and capability.
  • Work in partnership with Managers to execute the effective and timely management of employment relations cases
  • Provide support to managers with a comprehensive and expert support to implement change management initiatives.
  • Researching, developing, reviewing and publishing policies/procedures and guidelines to reflect changes to legislation and recognise best practice.
  • Provide support and guidance to ensure that corporate and HR policies, procedures and guidelines are followed appropriately by managers, and that information is available to employees and managers to ensure that processes are managed fairly and equitably.
  • Promote positive industrial relations
  • Research, develop and deliver learning events for managers and employees on a range of HR policies/procedures.
  • Play a key lead role in the development of a Performance Management framework including identifying interventions to support the HR Strategy.
  • In conjunction with the Head of HR, to help create an environment to promote and support Employee’ wellbeing to champion better work and working lives and to assist them to flourish and reach their full potential.
  • Audit, map and redesign HR systems to maximise ease of use and integrity of data.
  • Oversee the work of the HR team, providing support and advice on a range of HR issues.
Qualifications, and knowledge
  • MCIPD (or other appropriate professional) qualification or equivalent by experience.
  • Excellent current knowledge of Good Practice within HR.
  • Committed to continual learning and promotes best practice
  • Experienced with Job Evaluations
  • Proficient user of Technology - Microsoft Office, Excel
  • Extensive experience dealing with a high volume of Employee relations cases
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application
  • Experience developing, coordinating and delivering training events and presenting information to different audience on a wide range of topics
