Celebrate your special day off work every year with an extra day of holiday because we believe birthdays are important.Pension Scheme: Plan for the future with our contributory pension scheme, helping you save for a secure retirement.Your Impact and Responsibilities… Directly manage the onsite People team to deliver effective people advice, manage ER cases, and drive colleague engagement initiatives.Partner with the onsite General Manager and DC Senior Leadership team, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.Deliver training to support individual and team development plans.Identify management development opportunities and support performance assessment reviews.Drive a performance and cost-awareness culture using data insights to highlight continuous improvement opportunities.Measure and monitor people's KPIs against targets, focusing on absence management controls and service levels linked to engagement.Develop a recruitment strategy aligned with site resource planning, liaising with third-party agencies and the central team where required.Provide a robust onboarding process for new colleagues, ensuring a smooth and informed experience regarding rewards, benefits, policies, H&S, and compliance.Design and develop local communication methods to ensure business consistency and colleague engagement.Support the Senior Leadership team in delivering colleague engagement action plans (annual engagement survey, JCC, H&S committee).Chair and attend local JCC meetings, collaborating with the onsite TU.When required, provide specialist support for complex employee relations casework (performance, grievance, and disciplinary matters). Skills and Knowledge… Relevant CIPD qualification or working towards, with a commitment to continuing professional development.Good working knowledge of employee relations with relevant HR operational experience.Knowledge of best practice HR interventions and experience advising managers on employment law matters.Experience driving effective resourcing solutions in a fast-paced retail/distribution environment.Understanding of business priorities and balancing these with the people's agenda.Leadership experience and the importance of teamwork.Performance management and development.Join us at Poundland & Dealz and be part of a team that creates amazing value every day. #proudland  About us...
