Our lovely client in Harlow is looking for an organised office manager to support them in their office, leading a team of 6 busy schedulers and approx.17 engineers    Salary: £35,000-40,000 plus quarterly bonuses (to be discussed at interview)  Hours: 8-5pm on site ( 40 hours) Monday to Friday Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays and have your birthday off on them!    About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy scheduling office. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office, managing administrative functions, and supporting the scheduling team. This is a fast-paced environment, requiring strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage a team of 6 schedulers and administrative staff, providing leadership and support.
  • Develop and maintain office policies, procedures, and workflows to optimise scheduling processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of jobs, appointments, or services, coordinating with internal teams and external clients.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee office budgets, expenses, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for any office-related queries and escalations.
  • Implement and manage office systems, including scheduling software, CRM, and other administrative tools.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in office management, administration, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience supervising teams.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with scheduling systems or workforce planning is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other office management software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement and improve office policies and procedures
  • Experience:
    • Customer service: 1 year (required)
    • Management: 3 years (preferred)
