Are you a skilled Machinist looking for your next opportunity in a thriving mechanical engineering environment? Our client, a well-established organisation with over 100 years of excellence, is expanding their Machine Shop and seeking a dedicated individual to join their talented team. What You'll Do:
- Set up, programme, and operate CNC machines to produce components that meet strict specifications.
- Collaborate with their engineering team to optimise manufacturing processes.
- Maintain meticulous records of production, ensuring any issues are communicated effectively to management.
- Work with both CNC and manual lathes, producing high-quality components within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting, operating, and programming CNC mills and lathes.
- Producing components to strict tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Performing routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults promptly.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications with ease.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Expertise in operating manual lathes.
- Familiarity with G-code and programming languages (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Strong familiarity with metalworking equipment and tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
