Senior Quantity Surveyor (Freelance)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major highway's infrastructure project. This is a freelance position for a Tier 1 main contractor, with approximately 8 months left on the project. The project, valued at 7 million, involves road widening, drainage works, and footpath adjustments. The contract type is NEC4 Option C.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of the project, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and managing variations. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Manage project costs, variations, and payments in line with NEC4 Option C requirements

  • Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting to maintain financial control
