Senior Quantity Surveyor

Edge Careers are currently recruiting for an experienced 'Quantity Suveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor' with a proven track record within the Groundworks Sector.

This is on behalf of our client who due to a series of project wins is now looking to grow their commercial team.

This is fantastic opportunity with an employer who will be open to enage PAYE or on a Day Rate basis. My client offers a great package and is willing to discuss depending on experience, location, circumstancesetc

For this position their will be expections to work from home a couple days a week and to be on site a couple days a week. You can also work from their office and therefore applicants location can be flexible for this position. You will be responsible for overseeing upto x3 live projects and our client typically operates across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire down to the Essex area. So living within this region is important to our client so that you have access to their live sites.

Duties will involve site visits, undertaking measures of completed work, collating information, identifying and valuing variations and preparing / submitting valuations. You will be expected to work closely with our Contracts Manager and Site Managers, ensuring that works are valued accurately, whilst maintaining good working relationships.

Applicants should able to work well under pressure. Experience working for a Groundworks Sub-Contractor is a must, RC Frame experience would be advantageous. We require someone that has good communication and negotiation skills.
