4Recruitment Services are seeking a Neighbourhood Housing  Officer  to work for a housing association. You will be based at a Hub in Harlow Essex and to carry out neighbourhood management of properties in the local region, including  Chelmsford and Bishop Stortford. You’ll assist centrally based teams by completing customer visits, viewing and sign-up appointments, and identifying and investigating tenancy breaches and reports of anti-social behaviour.Main purpose of the role:
  • To ensure neighbourhood estates are clean, safe and well maintained, and improvements are identified, planned and delivered.
  • To investigate breaches of tenancy, support more vulnerable customers and ensure that anti-social behaviour is addressed and prevented by working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.
  • Due to covering 2 regions the client will only accept car drivers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Develop and deliver neighbourhood plans and local offers.
  • Deliver a programme of regular estate inspections and prioritising fire safety risk assessment follow up work.
  • Work with local residents groups to develop local community facilities, activities and events as part of a neighbourhood plan and local offers.
  • Work collaboratively with local partners such as safer neighbourhood teams, the voluntary sector and youth services on neighbourhood safety and ASB issues, for ad hoc or routine meetings as appropriate.
  • Liaise with other clients departments on neighbourhood improvements and services
  • Visit customers in breach of their tenancy or lease agreement where tasked to do so
  • Visit customers who may require additional support and assess whether they require on going tenancy sustainment.
  • Conduct viewings and sign ups or tenancy assignments.
  • Checks on property condition as required for the purpose of mutual exchange, during the tenants notice period or planned visits.
  • Assist with major incidents and the decanting of tenants
  ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: 
  • CVs must demonstrate experience in tenancy management and estate inspections
  • Experience of dealing with customers in person and enjoys working with people in the community
  • Able to robustly and effectively challenge teams delivering services and improvements in the neighbourhoods to hold them to account
  • Experience of providing good customer service
  • Full UK driving license and access to own transport for business use.
