Machine Tool Fitter, Essex, £17-20 PhWe are seeking a skilled Machine Tool Fitter ,Mechanical Fitter with toolmaking experience to join a growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of special-purpose machinery, primarily for the automotive industry. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative automated solutions and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components for special-purpose machinery, ensuring high standards of quality and precision.
  • Perform manual machining tasks as required.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings to guide the assembly process.
  • Work closely with the team to meet project deadlines and ensure the machinery is built to specification.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting during the assembly process.
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are met at all times.

About You:

  • Proven experience in toolmaking and mechanical assembly, particularly in special-purpose machinery.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
  • Time-served toolmaker experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of automated machine systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
