Our client, an award winning Family business situated just outside of Harlow, are looking for an Maintenance Assistant to join their friendly community feel team.

Responsibilities:
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact our operations! Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Line Manager regarding all maintenance issues related to electricity, water, and compressors.
  • Responding promptly to emergencies, taking corrective actions to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
  • Keeping management informed of site issues to foster a proactive work environment.
  • Shutting down machinery if immediate safety risks arise, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring all machinery is operational and that health and safety measures are rigorously upheld.
  • Completing preventative maintenance as per manufacturer and internal deadlines.
  • Implementing corrective measures on machinery and site maintenance as directed.
  • Maintaining an organised workshop, ensuring secure storage of tools and parts.
  • Liaising with manufacturers on maintenance and machinery concerns.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and managing a service schedule for all equipment.
  • Assisting with vehicle maintenance, including lorries, trailers, and other machinery, to uphold operational continuity.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures during maintenance tasks to guarantee personal and team safety.
  • Proactively advising management on maintenance and safety recommendations.
  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the nursery premises, including the car park and boundaries.
  • Being on-call for emergency situations within the nursery's parameters.
