JOB SPECIFICATIONWarehouse Operative - Based in Harlow PURPOSE OF JOB:  The Warehouse Operative will work in the stores and assembly area. Receiving and despatching goods on a daily basis and performing Quality Control checks in line with company procedures. Salary - £12.82 per hour equivalent to £25,000 per yearHours - Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours - (3pm finish on Fridays)All applicants must have a Counterbalance Forklift Licence.  REPORTS TO:  The Operations Manager  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receiving and despatching goods
  • Planning storage allocation
  • Quality control checks
  • Picking and packing goods in line with customer requirements,
  • Loading and unloading Lorries
  • Ensuring all stock areas are clean and tidy
  • Inventory Checks
  • Handling customer returns
  • Small batch assembly, including soldering and testing of products when required.
  • Ordering packaging supplies
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
  • Waste/Recycling
Operating EnvironmentWe work with some major customers, who expect a high level of service.   SKILLS:
  1. Good attention to detail.
  2. Flexible approach to tasks
  3. Numerate
  4. Previous Warehouse Assembly experience would be an advantage but not essential
  5. Forktruck Licence holder
  6. Interpersonal communication at all levels, both internally and externally
  7. Team player
  8. Experience of stock control computer systems.
  9. Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
