A growing business recognized as a world leader in precision automation components is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Hertford.
The role involves picking and packing customer orders, inventory control, and ensuring timely shipments for both UK and export.
Candidates should have experience in picking and packing, inventory management, and dealing with customs and duties.
The position requires good computer and admin skills, with forklift experience being an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should ideally have some relevant experience in warehouse operations.

A growing business that is recognised as a world leader in its field of precision automation components is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join its team in Hertford.You will be working with a small team in a very busy warehouse, receiving and despatching material and components. You will arrange shipments for both UK and export daily, ensuring goods are shipped on time and before deadlines. What you’ll do as a Warehouse Operative:

Picking and packing of customers’ order. (Approx. 70% of job role).
Ensure goods are booked in and shipped within deadlines, keeping a good control on stock.
Goods in, accurate identification, receipt, unpacking and storage of incoming raw materials and components
Inventory Control
Picking/Packing of customer orders
Economic use of appropriate packaging to ensure adequate protection of products for international transit.
Booking couriers using their portals and adhering to custom rules and export controls
Priority on making sure goods ship on time (OTD)
Admin duties

We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative with:

Picking and Packing experience
Good computer and admin skills
Inventory management/stock control
Experience dealing with customs and duties for import and export
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Forklift experience would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given
