Position: Accounts Administrator

Location: Harpenden (Office based)

Job Type: Part-Time Mon to Fri, min 15 hours per week (20 hours at month end)

Salary: £12-15 per hour depending on experience

Are you an experienced Accounts professional with expertise in QuickBooks and a proven ability to manage tasks up to trial balance? We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join and play a vital role in ensuring our client's financial operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting tasks, including accurate data entry and reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently and correctly.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records up to trial balance.
  • Conduct bank and ledger reconciliations with precision.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting activities.
  • Manage VAT returns and coordinate with auditors as required.
  • Credit Control.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting role, with a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proven ability to produce trial balances accurately and independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
