Metal Fencer / Fitter
The Local Wrought Iron Company requires somebody to join our team on a self-employed basis to install the wrought iron gates, railings, handrails, and balustrades we lovingly make.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role or experience with fencing. You will be working at our customers' homes, so you need to be polite and friendly. You will be mostly working on your own but will have help when the job requires it. You must be able to work on your own initiative.
Metal Fencer / Fitter Duties include:
- Digging holes and cementing posts in the ground
- Hanging and setting gates to walls and posts
- Fixing railings to walls
- Fixing handrails to steps
- Fixing balustrades to raised patios and extension roofs.
- Installing long runs of estate fencing and railings (cementing in the ground)
- Cutting and fitting composite boards to gate frames (workshop-based)
- Knowledge of hand tools and different fixing applications
- Some workshop work may be required if the weather dictates.
You will require a full driver's license and will need to be physically fit as this is a physical role. CSCS beneficial but not essential.
Training will be provided.
