Part time Chartered Financial Controller, Harrogate.Due to imminent retirement of their existing Financial Controller, an established business in Harrogate is recruiting for a Part time Chartered Financial Controller. Reporting to the 2 Directors, they can offer part time hours of 3 days/week. This is a crucial role to the function and success of the business and will involve overseeing the company’s financial health and operations and ensuring compliance is met as well as supporting the 2 Directors with strategic decision making.To be considered you must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with demonstrable post qualification experience at a senior level. They can consider both industry and practice experienced accountantsDuties• Oversee and manage all of the company's financial operations and controls.• Prepare, review, and present accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting.• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax filings, VAT returns, and annual audits.• Evaluate existing financial systems, processes and internal controls to improve efficiency and performance.• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and assist operational teams in managing budgets effectively.• Manage cash flow, including forecasting and working capital management, to support business operations.• Involvement with Trust Tax returns• Working with their external accountant and their bookkeeperRequirements• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified is essential with demonstrable post-qualification experience at a senior level• Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance position ideally in a SME environment.
