Sewell Wallis are partnering with a rapidly growing, PE backed business based in Harrogate who are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their diverse finance function.

The successful candidate will report into the Financial Controller, and will drive change and improvements across all areas of financial control.
What will you be doing?
- Maintain control over the balance sheet and implementing effective financial controls
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge regarding changes in accounting policies, become the company expert!
- Ensure monthly group reporting is completed against tight deadlines
- Provide day to day technical accounting support across the Group
- Acquisition accounting
- Liaise daily with the Senior Management Team to discuss any areas of concern and where improvements are required
- Producing the statutory accounts
- Respond to external and internal audit queries
- Support with some interesting and exciting new finance projects
What skills are we looking for?
- A qualified accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA from a recognisable accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of UKGAAP
- An effective communicator
- An audit background
- Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
