Are you a talented and experienced Architect looking for an exciting new opportunity in an established boutique SME Architectural Practice in Harrogate?

Working in a range of sectors including Commercial, Residential and Education our ambitious client are seeking a dynamic and creative Architect with 3-5 years of experience to join their friendly team.

Our client have a rich history and a commitment to excellence, creativity, and collaboration which has earned them a reputation for delivering high-quality designs that enhance the built environment.

If you have a passion for innovative design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion with full design autonomy, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities for the Architect.

  • Lead and manage architectural projects from initial design through to delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Develop creative and sustainable design solutions that meet client needs and adhere to building regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Implementation and administration of JCT Contract Suite.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design integrity and compliance.

Our requirements

  • Professional Qualifications: ARB / RIBA registered
  • Experience: 3-5 years post-qualification UK based experience. Must have experience in direct client interaction from project inception and experience working with contractors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Revit, tech-savvy, with a good understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
  • Design Skills: Exceptional design abilities with a thorough knowledge of technical and construction information.
  • Technical Judgment: Demonstrated experience in applying technical judgment to ensure projects comply with design standards.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of successful project management, team leadership, and running projects effectively.
  • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with contracts, regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
  • Commercial Awareness: Ability to promote the practice, generate new business opportunities, and maintain strong client relationships.
