Robert Half is working with a large business based in Harrogate to recruit for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a 6-month contract. The salary range for this role is £28,000 - £30,000.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our client's finance team on a 6-month contract basis. This role will involve processing and maintaining accurate financial records whilst working as part of a dynamic finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconciling supplier statements and managing supplier queries professionally
  • Preparing and processing BACS payment runs
  • Managing the purchase order system and ensuring compliance with company procedures
  • Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar purchase ledger role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
