Role Overview:
You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe environment for children, aged 0-5 years, that encourages their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well-organised environment for the children.
- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of Early Years Educators.
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote all areas of learning.
- Regularly observe and assess children's progress to create and update their individual learning profiles.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's development and maintaining positive relationships.
- Ensure the room meets health and safety standards, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Work closely with management to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years Education and Care qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working in an Early Years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to ensuring all children are safe, happy, and engaged in their learning.
