A Health & Safety Advisor is sought after to ensure the safety, health, and welfare of the workforce in a renowned FMCG company. This role is critical to the successful operation of our engineering and manufacturing department in North Yorkshire.

Description
- Drive positive safety culture and engagement across site.
- Develop, implement, and manage health and safety strategies and policies
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
- Initiate and organise training of employees and executives
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Review existing policies and procedures
- Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases
Profile
A successful Health & Safety Advisor should have:
- IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum
- NEBOSH General Certificate desirable, or open to training
- Experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in an Engineering & Manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Proficient in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
