We are recruiting for a Customer Service Executive for one of our clients who are based in the Harrogate area. Our client is a leading manufacturer within the UK who are continually recognised for innovation and excellence within service within their sector. As a result, they have superb customer relationships across the UK, based on trust and reliability. This is an urgent role.

The Customer Service Team is the first point of contact for all customers, this new Customer Service Executive is a critical role in providing superb levels of service in relation to product management, guidance and delivery. Our client is known for superb, proactive customer experience, adding value to every interaction, both internally and externally. Out client is offering a superb basic salary for this role, plus bonus. This role is fully office based with flexibility when needed.

As the Customer Service Executive, you will be responsible for managing all sales orders, inputting bespoke orders onto the CRM system. You will ensure a proactive and helpful approach to all customer interaction, by phone, email and with the wider internal team. Ideally you will have customer service experience gained from working within Trade, a Builders Merchants, Kitchens, Engineering, Packaging, Tools or a similar industry, with strong commercial acumen and a sense or urgency to your work. Our client will provide specific product training and long-term carer development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers, dealing with all queries, managing complaints and requests
  • Being a key point of contact for customers to handle any returns, recording calls to keep communication documented.
  • Proactively communicating any customer challenges, such as delivery delays with the wider team and gaining management support when needed
  • You will communicate via phone and email, always giving a positive level of service to customers.
  • You will take and add customer orders on to the CRM system and keep customers updated on the status of their order.
  • Ensure all data input is accurate and up to date for high-quality management information.
  • You will be involved with assessing customer pricing, you will calculate costings.
  • A real focus will be always placed on best practice delivery to customers, working with a proactive and supportive Customer Service Manager
  • You will liaise with other external parties such as courier companies to ensure the best possible service

Skills & Experience

  • You will have strong experienced gained within a Customer Service or a Sales Administration role with strong phone based customer service skills.
  • A good understanding of administration systems with strong attention to detail (including grammar and spelling).
  • If you have some experience using a CRM system this will be great, although training will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills, used to building strong relationships.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role.
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholders.
