Dental Technician - Ceramist
A Dental Laboratory in North Yorkshire is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ceramist to join their team. The ideal candidate will create high-quality dentalprosthetics and restorations, focusing on aesthetic and functional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate a wide range of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant restorations
- Accurately interpret dental prescriptions and specifications from dentists
- Match patient’s natural teeth to colour guides and create lifelike restorations
- Perform ceramic build-ups for single to full arch cases
- Apply advanced techniques in layering, staining, and glazing
- Utilize various materials, including porcelain, acrylic, and zirconia
- Collaborate with dental technicians and dentists to ensure proper fit and aesthetics
- Maintain strict quality control procedures and attention to detail
- Stay current with the latest advancements in dental ceramics and materials
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a dental ceramist, with a proven track record of excellence
- Advanced knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and aesthetics
- Proficiency in all aspects of ceramic work, including implant cases, smile design, and veneers
- Strong artistic aptitude and colour-matching abilities
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology is preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary range £50k - £60k depending on skills and experience
