SEMH Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Harrogate

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a Specialist Provision located in Harrogate who are seeking to recruit full-time Teaching Assistant to support there pupils with SEMH needs starting in January 2025.

This Specialist SEMH School in Harrogate caters for pupils aged 8-16 years of age who have Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and who are working on a Primary based curriculum. This specific role will be responsible for children aged 11-16 years old.

The role of an SEMH Support Assistant in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students.
