We are seeking a detail-oriented Health & Safety Advisor to work within our Engineering & Manufacturing department in Harrogate. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety standards within the FMCG sector.

Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures
- Engage the shop floor by coaching and developing them
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Train staff in health and safety procedures and best practices
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure health and safety standards are maintained
- Respond to and investigate health and safety incidents
- Provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters
- Prepare reports on health and safety performance
- Assist in the development of health and safety strategy and objectives
Profile
A successful Health & Safety Advisor should have:
- IOSH (necessary)
- NEBOSH (preferable)
- Experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce reports
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work well under pressure
