Insurance Placement Broker

Salary: Up to £30,000 dependent on skills and experience

Office based in Harrogate - Hybrid Working (2 days in the office)

Your role:

Stirde are proudly representing our client based in Harrogate. You will play a key part in identifying placement opportunities to increase partner Insurer penetration, increasing income through partner placement and growth of Gross Written Premium (GWP) with existing Partner Insurers.

The company are committed to your professional development, demonstrated by their willingness to support you in achieving your CII qualification.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers (BDMs) and members (independent insurance brokers) to identify new individual cases
  • Support the placement of business with Strategic Partner Insurers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with BDMs, insurers and the wider team
  • Understand member briefs, using them to create presentations to insurers and underwriters

We're looking for:

  • Experience in an insurance role is essential
  • Experience in a commercial insurance role is highly advantageous
  • A basic understanding of the relationship between underwriters, brokers, etc. is highly advantageous
  • CII qualified or a willingness to study is highly advantageous
