Fantastic opportunity available to join a prestigious financial services business that offer investment management services to a diverse portfolio of clients as a Senior Investment Operations Administrator on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished administration professional with experience of working within the investment sector. You will cover a wide range of duties and will utilise your strong organisational and communication skills to work efficiently with colleagues and stakeholders to meet client requirements. You will also take on compliance and regulatory tasks alongside other duties like reconciliations, data input, reporting and general administration. To be successful in this role you will need to have completed your CISI IAQ/IOC or equivalent qualifications.Senior Investment Operations Administrator Duties:
  • To oversee and conduct on a day-to-day basis the firms processes for compliance with CASS 6 (client assets rules), CASS 7 (client money rules) and the administration of investments.
  • Work in an accurate and timely manner and be first line support for Operations Administrators.
  • Correctly allocate client entitlements arising from, eg. dividends, corporate actions, interest payments.
  • Assess the impact of Head of Operations absence and cover/distribute work as required.
  • Review work completed by colleagues as part of a four-eye check or as further investigation if applicable. Providing feedback and/or training as required.
  • Investigating any issues with Client Asset values to ensure accurate CMAR reporting.
  • Investigating discrepancies within Internal & External cash reconciliations, escalating to Head of Operations if necessary.
  • Assessing trade differences and liaising in-house and with third parties to resolve the issues.
  • Assessing issues with Broker payments and liaising with third parties if necessary.
  • Standing Order and Income Payaway processing.
  • Section 793 Reporting, if required.
  • Assisting with procedural changes and in-house project work.
Skills Required:
  • Strong team player and have an eye for detail .
  • If you have worked in a regulatory field this would be an advantage.
  • If however you have administration experience and are looking for this to be more specialised, our client would also be open to this.
  • CISI IAQ/IOC or equivalent qualified.
  • Previous experience of investment management administration ideal.
As Senior Investment Operations Administrator you will receive a salary of between £32,000-£40,000 per year. Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. This is a full time, office-based position. Our client is based in Harrogate town centre however they do have on-site parking.
