We are recruiting a Head Chef to lead a popular and well-established Country Inn. This is a fresh food seasonal operation with high volume trade in the summer months. The Head Chef will need to be experienced, confident running a busy kitchen operation and have excellent people / leadership and organisation skills.

The role:

  • Ensure the smooth running of a fantastic fresh food operation, menu development and running an efficient kitchen operation.
  • Lead and manage a large kitchen team, recruitment, training and development.
  • Ensuring a clean and hygienic kitchen environment following food safety management procedures and records that meet all required standards
  • Controlling stocks and orders, as well as general cost and labour controls.

The desirable candidate:

* A strong senior chef background, Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef level who has managed a high-volume fresh food operation.

* A good people manager and leader, able to offer ongoing training, support and development of the team.

* Experience creating new menus, delivering rotas, managing labour costs, GPs and stock control.
