Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a client based in North Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Production Planner to the team, on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will deliver the production plan through strong planning, organisational and communication skills. You will lead the production schedule to produce a deliverable plan taking into consideration constraints to scheduling, maintaining stock levels and service levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct the S&OP cycle for the business by translating the sales forecast into an achievable, well timed production plan.
- Creation of RCCP recognising areas of capacity constraint presenting opportunities as required to alleviate.
- Identify products as runners, repeaters and determine stock holding required in conjunction with sales forecast.
- Generate and maintain routings and characteristics allowing product groupings to maximise efficiency.
- Management and communication of 3 month rolling plan ensuring all relevant parties are aware and commitment reached.
- Maintain and monitor sales forecasts generating production orders to satisfy demand.
- Coordinate replanning as and when required.
- Actively communicate with production, procurement, sales and maintenance departments as required.
- Create weekly targets from the rolling plan and effectively communicate to the production
- Maintain constant communication both internally and with customers as required.
- Provide cover and support as required to procurement as required.
- Prepare monthly report pack demonstrating performance to agreed metrics.
Do you have the following knowledge, experience and skills?
- Demonstrable production planning experience, ideally from working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
- Fully IT literate.
- Confidence to challenge personnel when appropriate.
Salary dependent on skills and experience but up to c£40k plus benefits.
