Impression Recruitment are delighted to be looking for an Maintenance & Engineering Planner to join a market-leading, multi-award winning brand based in Harrogate. Our client is looking for someone who is confident in their abilities to act as a key point of contact between their Engineering, Production, Technical and Procurement teams, ensuring smooth running of the business. The client are open-minded on experience, so if you are someone from an Engineering background with great organisational skills and a strategic, forward-thinking mindset, then this could be a great opportunity for you! Your duties as Maintenance & Engineering Planner will be:
  • Develop & operate the current maintenance planning systems.
  • Produce weekly maintenance schedules for the engineering team.
  • Collate completed work schedules using internal software.
  • Determine KPI's to continually improve maintenance regimes.
  • Work closely with colleagues to implement changes in logistics to allow business to continually improve with regards to efficiency.
  • Source alternative suppliers to save costs, improve lead times and keep within departmental budget.
  • Work in partnership with Technical, Production & Procurement departments to accommodate any trials of new equipment.
  • Produce monthly engineering and maintenance figures for data analysis.
  • Oversee all Contractors to site, ensuring compliance is met.
  • Promote working in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
Key skills you need to possess:
  • Experience within an Engineering role.
  • Experience using KRONES (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and a troubleshooting mindset.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and plan for short, medium and long term objectives.
  • Ability to generate rapport with colleagues and suppliers to build successful working relationships.
  • Great negotiation skills with suppliers keeping business demands a priority.
  • Health & Safety focused mindset.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal software packages quickly.
In return the successful Maintenance & Engineering Planner will receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience, working 8am - 4pm / 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
