Engineering Op’s Manager

£45k-£55k pa DOE, Mon-Fri, Days

HARROGATE

I am looking for an experienced Operations/Works Manager with a background in Engineering, to work for one of my clients, a Precision Engineering company based near to Harrogate.

You will be required to oversee day-to-day activities within the organisation to ensure efficient and effective operations. You will be responsible for managing all of the various aspects of the business, including Production, Quality Control, Inventory Management and Resource Allocation. You must have knowledge or experience within either the Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Service and Repair industries.

Key attributes required for the role:

· Must have a minimum of 10 years management experience

· Must have worked within Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or Service and Repair industry

· Strong technical machining and engineering background

· Ideally educated to Degree level within an engineering discipline.

· Strong quality management and systemic approach to running a manufacturing operation, including ISO9001, HSE and process control.

· A leader in factory scheduling, OTDIF and MPS compliance

· Excellent communication skills.

· An excellent leader and motivator

· Possess good customer service skills when engaging with customers and suppliers alike

· Hands on approach and not afraid to get your hands dirty

· A systematic approach to equipment preventative maintenance and yield efficiency mentality

· Good problem solver who can manage time critical, multiple events in a positive manner

· Works well under pressure

The role is based on the Day shift with a good degree of flexibility required in regards to start and finish times. The salary for the role is between £45k and £55k Depending on Experience, with the role being advertised as Permanent.
