We are seeking an Administration Manager to oversee and manage human resources, health & safety, and compliance administration. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational standards and ensuring the well-being and development of our staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from recruitment to compliance and building management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Human Resources & Health and Safety:
    • Manage recruitment and selection processes including advertising, application sifting, and interviewing.
    • Maintain contracts of employment and job descriptions for all staff.
    • Develop and implement effective induction and ongoing training systems, including evaluating training effectiveness.
    • Implement appraisal systems, monitor staff performance, and set goals through personal development plans.
    • Handle disciplinary procedures and arrange training courses for all staff.
    • Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies on Health and Safety, Quality Standards, and Equal Opportunities.
    • Conduct and update risk assessments regularly.
  • Building Management:
    • Oversee building repairs, decorations, and cleaning.
    • Liaise with tradespersons for necessary repairs.
    • Manage procurement of new office equipment and maintenance contracts.
    • Develop and execute a repair and maintenance programme aligned with the annual budget.
    • Ensure regular testing of fire alarm systems and annual servicing of emergency equipment.
  • Compliance Administration:
    • Review and recommend updates to communication systems.
    • Assist with client onboarding and file reviews.
    • Ensure adherence to compliance and anti-money laundering regulations.
    • Support the COLP and compliance partners in maintaining and updating relevant policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High regard for confidentiality.
  • Experience in a legal environment.
  • Essential knowledge of HR and Health & Safety.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering compliance.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £30K to £35K, depending on experience.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 with a 1.25-hour lunch break.
  • 24 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
  • Additional office closure during Christmas, requiring only 2 holiday days from employees.
