Offering £27,000 - £29,000 Basic Salary plus Great Benefits
Our client is an established manufacturing facility based in the Harrogate area. They are now recruiting a Junior Buyer to join their established purchasing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing suppliers, ensuring best quality, services and commercial terms are achieved whilst working within the team to ensure an efficient, friendly and professional procurement service.
Junior Buyer - Key Responsibilities
- Purchase products and services to meet the company’s needs.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure continuity of supply of all necessary raw materials and consumables in line with the broader sales and production forecasts.
- Tender generation and evaluation through to contract, ensuring best practices are adhered to and best possible commercial terms achieved.
- Maintain supplier on-boarding and performance assessment procedures and ISO 9001 standards ensuring continuous improvements to service levels and commercial terms for the business.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support with departmental needs; including product sourcing, pricing, technical data, bid support and new product development.
- Produce and analyse reports and forecasts as required.
- Solve problems with orders or invoices in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support all team members with shared learning to promote continuous improvement within the team.
Junior Buyer - Additional Duties
- Provide outstanding products and an effortless customer experience.
- Deliver tasks with a focus on quality and quantity.
- Manage, organise and update relevant data/records as required.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change or development.
- Working with customers/colleagues to identify problems and advise on the solution whilst managing expectations of stakeholders.
The Junior Buyer position is offering £27,000 - £29,000 basic salary plus great benefits! This is a full-time, permanent, site based position in Harrogate. Further training and development opportunities available for the successful candidate.
