Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are delighted to be working alongside an established business who are looking to recruit a Procurement Lead on an initial 12 month contract with the view to going permanent.

As a Senior Procurement Lead, you'll be responsible for supporting the procurement team in all aspects of the procurement cycle. This includes end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. There is hybrid remote working available including flexibility on hours. Potentially the role could be worked fully remote for an exceptional candidate.

Responsibilities

  • ?Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and suitability.

  • ?Negotiate, manage contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize pricing and terms.

  • ?Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, quality, and responsiveness.

  • ?Lead supplier meetings to strengthen knowledge around categories.

  • ?Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.

  • ?Compliance and governance awareness with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

  • ?Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.

  • ?Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement strategies to achieve savings.

  • ?Market up-to-date with industry trends and procurement and supply chain management best practices.

  • ?Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement-related matters.

  • ?Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise with suppliers or internal stakeholders.

  • ?Support be involved in the development, coaching, and mentoring of the Procurement team.
