Job Description:

Reporting into the Hire Team Leader and working as part of a team, key duties of the Hire Administrator include:

  • Take incoming hire calls, (roughly 25/day to the team) and service the hire desk email inbox, (around 60/day to the team). Communication is largely email based, around 90% email.
  • Provide first line contact for customers, current and new.
  • Quote prices and take orders for hire of equipment and process through to completion.
  • Plan delivery and collection of orders in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Process all orders to IT systems and paperwork relating to hires, off-hires and inter-depot transfers.
  • Ensure that all equipment hired to customers has been properly tested in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with the depot teams to ensure equipment is available for hire.
  • Maintain knowledge of the division’s equipment for hire and sale.
  • Respond to customer requests and queries in a timely and professional manner.

Hire Administrator Specification:

The ideal Hire Administrator will ideally:

  • Have experience in a hire coordinator position, (this specific experience is not essential). Essential experience includes administration and customer service.
  • Be customer service orientated and passionate about delivering a first-class service.
  • Have strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and be quick at picking up in-house systems and procedures.
  • Be able to work as part of a small team in a large open plan office.
  • Come from a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to prioritise their own workload and multi – task.
  • Be able to problem solve.

Full training provided.

Own transport highly beneficial due to the location of client.
