  • The successful applicant will oversee property maintenance, liaise with tenants and contractors, and manage safety certifications among other responsibilities.
We are searching for a proactive and highly organised Lettings Property Manager with a love for all things property to join an independent letting agency, covering West & North Yorkshire. 
  • £30,000 – £35,000 pa, dependent on experience
  • Office Based – Ilkley (4 Days) & Harrogate (1 Day)
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Saturday Rota (1 in 4)
 The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing property maintenance for our client’s portfolio of rental properties. You will work closely with the Directors & Lettings Manager to ensure continuous upkeep of all properties under the portfolio whilst supporting other areas of the business on an ad-hoc basis. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the primary contact for maintenance enquiries via telephone, email and app.
  • Liaising between tenants, contractors and landlords to organise and resolve any outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Updating energy suppliers with move-in and move-out meter readings.
  • Arranging property inspections and following up on any remedial works.
  • Conducting check-in and check-out appointments with tenants, negotiating the security deposit and works as required.
  • Managing the safety certificate schedule for all properties held on our client’s portfolio and coordinating all safety certificate appointments.
  • Coordinating tenancy renewals and rent reviews and dealing with any associated administration.
  • Uploading relevant notes, certificates and invoices into the CRM system to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Contacting viewing enquiries and arranging appointments with prospective tenants, carrying out viewings when covering holiday or during exceptionally busy periods.
 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 4+ years’ experience in a property maintenance role is essential.
  • Sound property knowledge with an ability to use your initiative when dealing with maintenance issues.
  • Highly organised with an ability to work in a fast-paced and process-driven environment.
  • A strong work ethic, with a proactive approach to work.
  • A meticulous individual with high levels of attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Can quickly and easily build rapport, manage expectations, and maintain ongoing client relationships.
  • IT literate including CRM & Microsoft packages, preferably experience on Alto &
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Are a UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
