Are you looking for a cleaning role that can add real value to the lives of others? We are working with an organisation that is dedicated to providing top-tier care services and they are looking for a Housekeeper to join their dynamic team at The Cuttings in Starbeck, Harrogate The Housekeeper is one of the key first line posts in the provision of the housekeeping service. This involves providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property. If you are passionate about ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and want to contribute to a vibrant, caring community, this role is tailor-made for you. What can you expect:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday

Duties will include:
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained across all areas of the property.
  • Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties including hoovering, dusting, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, changing bedding etc.
  • Undertake heavy cleaning as directed by the Scheme Manager.
  • Always observe safe working practices and report any hazards.
  • Notify the Scheme Manager / Senior Housekeeper of any changes in stock levels.
  • Check machinery and equipment and report faults using maintenance request system in place within each dept.
  • Report any electrical or maintenance defects identified whilst undertaking duties using maintenance request system in place within each dept.
  • Carry out Ironing for the Catering Department.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Previous cleaning experience in a care setting is preferred.
  • Good people skills with a caring and compassionate nature.
  • A positive, professional, and proactive approach.
  • A real team player.
