Do you have some basic understanding and experience around finance, ideally the purchase ledger process or do you have experience within a busy and fast paced administrative role and would you like to move into a finance role?

Are you looking to build upon that experience and secure an end to end, varied role that involves both the purchase ledger and sales ledger process?

Do you live locally to the Pateley Bridge area and do you ideally drive due to the limited public transport links?

This is your opportunity to join a thriving business based in the stunning Pateley Bridge area. Our client can be flexible in terms of number of hours offered with the position offering between 22.5 and 30 hours on a part time basis. This role is designed to work around you while offering role variety and the opportunity to learn new skills within finance over time such as credit control.

The role is 80% focused around the purchase ledger process but you will also get involved in supporting the sales ledger team and will be able to help out in other areas around busy periods. As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of a supportive team, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial operations. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing purchase and sales ledger activities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices on a daily basis
  • Sorting and scanning sales invoices
  • Raising purchase order numbers
  • Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and clients by resolving queries and maintaining clear communication
  • Supporting with the supplier reconciliation process
  • Assisting with preparation of payment runs and credit control processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an accounts, ideally purchase ledger/accounts payable or a busy, fast paced administrative role
  • A detail-oriented mindset and a proactive attitude
  • Great communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and the team
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ideally, access to your own transport due to the rural location
