About the Role:
Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Harrogate on a long-term supply basis starting in January 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with a strong commitment to student engagement and academic excellence in science. The role will involve delivering high-quality science lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
  • Collaborate with the science department and other staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the school's wider educational ethos and participate in departmental activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching science within a UK secondary school setting is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
