Our team at Sellick Partnership is actively recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer for a well-established social housing provider based within the York region

Supported Housing Officer Responsibilities

  • Assist new tenants particularly vulnerable tenants to set up and maintain a tenancy and engaging with existing support providers to ensure appropriate support packages are in place.
  • Work with tenants experiencing financial difficulty to maximise their income, ensuring they are receiving their full benefit entitlement. Conducting full income and expenditure checks and assisting with budgeting skills to ensure rent and other priority debts are paid.
  • Provide housing related support to tenants of our supported housing schemes with enduring mental ill health; including signing up of tenancy agreements and termination of tenancies.
  • Provide case studies, reports, data, and other service information as required
  • To be the named contact person and advocate for customer service issues arising in supported in housing, ensuring that our Service Standards are delivered and customers receive an excellent value for money service

Essential for the Supported Housing Officer:

  • Previous housing experience / supporting customers with tenancy sustainment
  • Full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle
