SEN Teaching Assistant - Harrogate - Primary Schools

Here at Veritas Education, we have the privilege of working with some amazing schools across North Yorkshire both Mainstream and SEN. We are on the lookout for candidates who have experience supporting students of all ages with additional needs within an education setting. Although this is desirable, it is not a necessity. We encourage anyone to apply for our roles if they are passionate about working with children and young people and would love to gain more experience in this field.

Requirements -

  • Upon successful registration, you will be required to provide documents in line with our compliance checklist.
  • Provide a clear and enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Two professional references from previous employers are requested during registration.
  • We require candidates to be consistent, reliable, and hard working.

Responsibilities -

  • Help teachers prepare lesson materials.
  • Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons.
  • Work with students to make sure they understand.
  • Watch, record and report the progress students make.
  • Look after children who are upset or unwell.
  • Lead classes with help from the teacher.
