Our client is a well-established construction company specializing in refurbishments across North West London is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in estimating for refurbishment projects to contribute to the growth and success of a leading firm in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for refurbishment projects across North West London.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope of work.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather quotations and ensure the most competitive pricing.
- Ensure estimates are submitted on time and are in line with client expectations and budget requirements.
- Analyze project risks, potential cost savings, and value engineering options.
- Work closely with project managers and the commercial team to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Maintain and update a database of costs and market rates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in future estimates.
- Prepare tender submissions and attend pre-tender meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, with a focus on refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and refurbishment processes.
- Familiarity with relevant estimating software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Good communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., HNC, degree in Quantity Surveying, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
