Have you got over 5 years experience as a biomedical engineer in the UKThen this job could be for you!The role includesProvision of daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations. To work with and support the site / team leader in achieving contract KPIs. Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in companies procedures. Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital. Build long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform schedules preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
  • Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
  • Assist Junior Biomed Engineer whenever required
  • Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary

Additional duties:

  • Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area
  • Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements
  • Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations
  • Deal with OEM's service staff and management when required

What you will need:

  • Certified OEM training
  • UK Degree in Biomedical engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
  • 3-5 years in UK biomedical setting.
  • Experience with Patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices, Anaesthesia equipment, ventilation devices.
  • Has worked in clinical areas and involving patient communication
  • Competent with a broad range of medical devices
  • Full UK Driving Licence
