Job Title: CaretakerLocation: London Borough of Harrow - Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT, and surrounding areasDuration: Temporary - ongoingSalary: £16.19 PAYE per hourRole Overview:The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a responsible and proactive Caretaker to support the maintenance and upkeep of premises. This role involves carrying out minor repairs, ensuring a clean and secure environment, and assisting with general site maintenance.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment across all sites
Identify, monitor, and report health and safety hazards or maintenance issues
Oversee security operations, including locking and unlocking buildings when required
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently
Set up rooms or facilities for events, meetings, and operational needs
Assist with moving furniture, deliveries, and equipment as necessary
Perform regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in general maintenance and caretaking duties
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements
Physical fitness for manual tasks, including lifting and moving items
Must hold a valid driving licence and Business Insurance
Ability to operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle is required for this role

Work Environment:

May involve working across multiple sites within the London Borough of Harrow
Requires flexibility, including shift-based working hours
Fast-paced environment requiring responsiveness to urgent maintenance needs
