We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Business Development Consultant with a strong background in Apprenticeships to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with experience in the education sector, who is adept at engaging with employers nationwide to enhance their workforce through tailored apprenticeship programs.
Day-to-day of the role:- Engage with a diverse range of employers across the UK, helping large employers maximise their apprenticeship levy and advising SMEs on the benefits of apprenticeships.
- Employ a consultative sales approach to maximise employer engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop and manage a territory plan that aligns with the strategic goals of our colleges, identifying and generating new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to sell training solutions that close skills gaps and meet recruitment needs, including work experience and industry placements.
- Write tailored proposals and sell training solutions that meet both employer needs and college income targets.
- Manage your own sales pipeline, ensuring effective use of the CRM system by the Apprenticeship Teams.
- Plan and execute strategic business development initiatives to meet predefined strategic goals.
- Proactively identify opportunities to develop and offer higher apprenticeships and commercial training provisions.
- Proven experience in a sales role within the education sector, specifically with apprenticeships.
- Strong ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including large employers and SMEs.
- Excellent communication and proposal writing skills.
- Ability to manage a sales territory and effectively use labour market intelligence.
- Proficient in managing CRM systems and ensuring data accuracy.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in managing digital apprenticeship service accounts and understanding of ESFA regulations is advantageous.
