Business Manager - Up to £65,000 - Permanent - Hybrid - Harrow
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with an exciting client within the education sector to support with their recruitment of a business manager on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the CFCO to assess opportunities for the corporation to generate additional income to support its charitable purposes and monitor potential business risks and mitigations.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Corporation risk registers and risk management tools, monitoring risk mitigations and reporting
- Supporting the CFCO and Foundation Office colleagues and senior members of the reporting group in the preparation and assembly of board and committee reports, commissioning and progressing inputs to board and committee reports where required from colleagues
- Working with the CFCO and Foundation Office colleagues on actions arising from board decision and reporting
- Providing insights on assets, resources and funds at a Corporation level
- Assessing business cases and proposals with the CFCO on behalf of the Corporation
- Progressing commercial discussions and agreements with the Foundation's General Counsel, on behalf of the Corporation
- Liaising with external parties
- Developing a Corporation register of contracts and procurement activity and maintaining the register, highlighting areas of best practice
Successful candidate
- Demonstrable experience gained in a leading strategy or management practice, or in a corporate development role in a regulated sector.
- Identify business opportunities for the Corporation.
- Compile concise, compelling board reports that contain accurate and relevant commercial analyses.
- Build strong collaborative relationships throughout the organisation promoting best practice and forward thinking.
